Terms & Conditions

Last updated 21 August 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and Serious Tech Pty Ltd trading as LMTW — Let’s Meet This Week ("LMTW", "the club", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. The service

LMTW is a social connection club. We organise hosted, real-life events — dinners, coffee catch-ups, games nights, sport, walks, arts outings and more — match members into small groups, and provide tools to stay in touch afterwards. Venues are independently owned and operated; members attend events in person and at their own discretion.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service at any time without notice.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be 18 years or older to use LMTW. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login details confidential, and take responsibility for everything that happens under your account. One account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with or without notice.

3. Event credits

  • Credits are a prepaid digital balance used to book events. They are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, sold or redeemed for cash.
  • Credit packs are sold in Australian dollars, GST inclusive (currently $25 for 50 credits). We may change pack pricing, credit costs and reward rules at any time; changes apply only to future purchases and bookings.
  • Credits never expire. Unused packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase; used credits are spent. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Booking an event debits 12 credits. Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the event are refunded in full; later cancellations are refunded 6 credits. If you confirm and don’t attend, the 12 credits are forfeited and a 5-credit no-show penalty applies (balances never go below zero).
  • Rewards (loyalty, hosting, founding and promotional credits) are discretionary, may be adjusted or withdrawn, and have no cash value. Attendance recorded by the host or the club is final.

4. Events, venues and other members

Events take place at independent third-party venues and involve other members, all of whom are strangers you choose to meet in person. We do not conduct background checks, identity verification or criminal-history screening on members, and we make no representation about any member’s identity, character, intentions or conduct.

You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions at events — including travel, what you eat and drink (including allergies and dietary requirements, which you must raise with the venue directly), and whether to meet anyone again.

5. Code of conduct

  • Treat every member and venue staff with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, or unwanted sexual advances.
  • No using the service for business solicitation, recruitment, or anything unlawful.
  • No scraping, reverse-engineering, or interfering with the service.
  • Breaches may result in removal from events, account closure, and forfeiture of credits, at our sole discretion. The full club rules — in plain language — live on the Trust & safety page.

6. Hosts (Captains)

Members may apply to host events as Captains. Captains are volunteers, not employees, contractors or agents of Serious Tech Pty Ltd. Credit rewards for hosting are a thank-you, not wages, and create no employment relationship. Hosts are responsible for their own conduct and for accurately marking attendance; dishonest marking voids rewards and may end the account.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit (profile details, voice pitch, messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content to operate and improve the service — for example, playing your voice pitch to members you’re seated with. Don’t submit content you don’t have the right to share, or that is unlawful, defamatory, or invasive of anyone’s privacy.

8. Assumption of risk and release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risks arising from attending events and interacting with other members, venues and third parties, and you release and discharge Serious Tech Pty Ltd, its directors, officers, employees and Captains from all claims, demands, damages and liabilities of any kind arising out of or connected with your use of the service, attendance at events, or the acts or omissions of any member, host, venue or third party.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that matches will be compatible, that events will proceed, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Serious Tech Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, nor for any personal injury, property damage, or any act or omission of any member, Captain, venue or third party. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is capped at the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Where the law permits us to limit our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

10. Indemnity

You indemnify Serious Tech Pty Ltd against all claims, losses, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms, your content, or your conduct at or in connection with any event.

11. General

  • We may update these terms at any time; the current version lives at lmtw.ai/terms. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of NSW have exclusive jurisdiction.
  • If any clause is unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue in force.

Common questions

Do my credits ever expire or convert to cash?

Credits never expire, but they are not money — they can’t be transferred or redeemed for cash. Unused packs can be refunded within 14 days of purchase.

Does LMTW check members’ backgrounds?

No. We don’t run background or identity checks. A human reviews every matched group for fit, but your safety decisions at events are always your own.

What happens if I confirm and don’t show up?

The 12 booking credits are forfeited and a 5-credit no-show penalty applies. Your balance can never go below zero.

The fine print, done.
